Annette M. Walker is the visionary president of City of Hope Orange County who has gained a national reputation for her industry-changing insights, outstanding leadership, and keen abilities to bring people together to achieve extraordinary results. Annette has been twice recognized as one of the 100 most influential leaders in U.S. health care (Modern Healthcare, 2019 and 2020).
Mark serves as CEO and President and is on the Board of Directors of CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County. For the prior decade, Mark led and advised numerous family foundations, especially in the area of education grantmaking. Earlier, Mark held executive positions primarily in privately held firms, including President of a consulting firm in Washington DC that strategically empowered US companies, such as AT&T, Motorola, Westinghouse, and United Technologies, to expand business in emerging market economies.
Named CEO in 2022, Darryl joined Pacific Life in 2017 as executive vice president and CFO. Previously, he was with Aegon for 17 years, where he most recently served as CFO and member of the Executive Board of Aegon N.V. He began his career at Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Canada. Darryl also serves as Chairman of the Pacific Life Foundation.
Dick is co-founder of CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County. Dick also currently serves as the founding Managing Partner of the SC Master Fund, a venture capital fund focusing on the accelerating SoCal innovation ecosystem. Dick retired in May of 2011 as Chief Executive Officer of Essendant, the leading wholesale distributor of office and business products in the US. In addition to CLAOC and SC Master Fund, Dick is on the following boards: AmerisourceBergen Corp., Golden State Foods, Vodori, Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance, Rush University and Medical Center, and Rising Tide Transitional Housing.
Kim brings over 30 years of public company, private company, and private equity accounting experience serving regional, national and global clients in life science, financial services, and consumer products. She works with high-growth public, private, private equity portfolio and emerging companies on IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion.
Edward oversees all aspects of the Wealth Management business in greater Orange County and San Diego County, bringing an extensive background in wealth planning and private banking. He serves on the board of directors for Unlimited Possibilities and advisory boards for Project Access, OCSA, CHOC Latino Advisory Council, and the UCI Center for Investment and Wealth Management. He also serves as a mentor for students at Long Beach State University.
Under Mike’s leadership as its only CEO for 23 years, Edwards Lifesciences established its position as a global leader in patient-focused medical innovations. Before his current position, Mike held various roles at Baxter International. Currently, Mike serves on the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) board and is an advisory board member for the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics at the University of Southern California.
Manny serves on PIMCO’s Executive Committee and has executive oversight of the firm’s client and business areas. Manny was previously CEO at Man Group PLC. Earlier in his career, he was with Goldman Sachs for 18 years and was co-head of worldwide global securities and the European services division. He has served as a trustee of the Hedge Fund Standards Board Ltd., the Paris Review of Books, the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, the Tate Foundation and the University of Chicago.
Lindsey oversees the philanthropic entities operating under the oversight of H&S Ventures, including the Samueli Foundation, the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, the San Diego Gulls Foundation, the Irvine Ice Foundation, and The Rinks Foundation. Formerly, she was President of Jeff Skoll Group and Chief Communications and Brand Officer of Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit focused on ending childhood hunger.
Brett is the Executive Vice President and President of Medtronic’s Neuroscience portfolio. Brett also serves as the Executive Sponsor of the Medtronic African Descent Network. This employee resource group focuses on recruitment, engagement, retention and development for employees of African descent. Brett’s career journey also included leadership roles at Covidien, ev3, Inc., Micro Therapeutic, and Boston Scientific.
Doug is co-founder of CEO Leadership Alliance Orange County. Doug is an Executive Fellow at Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance, a community for CEOs and their teams ready to do the work of leadership with a higher purpose. With more than 30 years of executive leadership experience, he currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Next Solutions, Inc., a real estate consulting firm. Doug also authored Team Sight, as assessment used to build high performing teams in Fortune 500 companies across the world. He currently serves as Chair.
Franciska serves as the Director of Talent Strategies and University Relations for CLAOC. With more than a decade of experience at organizations like the National Collegiate Athletic Association and Chapman University, Franciska helps businesses maximize their early career engagement strategies by partnering with local universities to build an effective talent pipeline through micro internships and capstone projects.
Kristina is the Coordinator of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at CLAOC. With over three years of experience in AI ethics research, education, and talent development, Kristina manages and oversees the AI programs, events, and communications at CLAOC's AI Talent Hub.
Amy is the Senior Advisor, Talent Strategies at CLAOC. With more than 25 years of experience working across private and public sectors, including the Orange County Department of Education and the University of California. She provides strategic guidance to align regional education and workforce efforts across the talent pipeline continuum for maximum collective impact.
Jasmine serves as the Chief Operating Officer of CLAOC, overseeing all strategic and programmatic aspects of CLAOC’s goal to develop OC into a premier, diverse talent hub. With 20 years of extensive experience in the corporate sector, Jasmine worked as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group, where she led various strategic projects related to healthcare, social impact and media. Previously, Jasmine served as Senior Vice President of CLAOC’s AI Talent Hub, developing and launching the initiative.

Karly is the Chief Administrative Officer for CLAOC. Since 2018, Karly has assisted the organization by supporting the executive team, coordinating events, and managing the organization’s administrative operations. Additionally, Karly is responsible for tracking and increasing member engagement within the organization.
Laurie is the Director of Education Programs and Partnerships at CLAOC. With more than 20 years of collective impact experience at companies like Science@OC and Project Tomorrow, she works effectively across sectors cultivating partnerships and aligning resources to create lasting, sustainable, scalable programs. Her current work focuses on creating career onramps for high school students.
Peggy serves as the Director of Special Programs at CLAOC. Peggy works on the National Talent Collaborative of business-led organizations, working together to create opportunities to collaborate across regions. Peggy also manages the OC Fellows, a talent development program for young professionals to develop early-rising talent across companies and industries in the OC.
