In spite of the current pandemic-driven economic uncertainty, CLA-OC continues to meet and exceed milestones in our mission to grow OC into a top tier innovation region in America. We have strengthened our membership, made good progress on all of our 2020 goals, and developed valuable new partnerships essential to our flywheel strategy. In addition, we have identified an area of concentration that will add focus to our mission. We will be communicating more on this in the coming weeks and months.
The turmoil in our nation around race has served to galvanize our members' commitment to fulfill our vision of working together to build a thriving OC for all. Equity and inclusion have been foundational to all our work to date. What has changed is the greater sense of urgency to alter systems that create unequal opportunities, plus more rigor in how we define a thriving OC for ALL.
We are proud of the generous and collaborative spirit of our Orange County community, which has continued to find ways to lift up those in need. Working together, we can build back even better.
Be well,
Mark Percy
